About Roz
Roz Gertner, CBR, SRES, REALTOR ®, GREEN
Roz has two grown sons, both of whom were educated in the Brookline schools. She has lived in the Boston area for over 30 years and appreciates what a very unique part of the country this is. Although she has been selling real estate for a long time, she is still excited about the neighborhoods, the homes of every variety, and this extraordinary region with mountains and shore readily available. Her largest gratification, however, comes from helping people find the right solution to their real estate needs whether buying or selling.
Skilled Real Estate Negotiation
Before becoming a full-time Realtor, Roz taught sociology and then developed a clinical social work practice. These previous careers make perfect sense for a real estate professional because they prepared her for the very personal and human undertaking that buying and selling homes really is. It gave her insight into all sides of the transaction making her a sensitive listener, a gifted communicator and a skilled negotiator.
Combining Real Estate with Home Design
An abiding interest in home and hearth (psychological, spatial and aesthetic) continues to be a passion and resulted in the natural integration of an active design component into the real estate company.
It was our real estate clientele that helped develop that concept. Their questions about what was possible (a wall removed or added, kitchen or bathroom modified or demo’d, lighting for ambience or task, the creation of urban gardens on north-facing balconies, etc.) drove the formation of a business combining both elements.

Not only are we experiencing a challenging and volatile real estate market where staying competitive is absolutely essential. But the vibrant design world and the expanding world of green technologies informs and energizes the acquisition of property.
