Relocating to Boston Area

Every move is unique
But moving to a new region of the country or a new state is especially challenging. Of course, a knowledgeable real estate professional is essential in this process.
You need a company that is respectful of your special requirements, understands the market realities, and can direct you to the resources that will ease this transition. You need a Realtor® who listens.
Find a Realtor®
All real estate agents must be licensed by the State. But not all real estate agents are Realtors®. Realtors® subscribe to a National Code of Ethics and are members of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors.
A real estate professional can advise you on the current inventory and current market conditions. Your agent will address the items on your wish-list and the timeline for your ideal move and purchase dates. Your agent will thoroughly review all the properties that meet your criteria in the neighborhoods you identify.
Bottom line, you need a Realtor® with solid expertise and one who listens. RG-Homes is Featured Realtor® at RPS Relocation Services.

Several years ago, Roz helped a family from Boulder, Colorado relocate to Newton. Needless to say, the family had to adjust to the fact that they would get less house and less land for the money here. Still, a position at MIT brought the family to the Boston area.
They wanted to walk to a village center with shops and other amenities. They especially wanted to be within walking distance to a good French baguette, a perk they had in Boulder. We found a house in Newton Highlands that suited all their needs, was within walking distance to public transit and to a good French baguette! No detail overlooked!
If you’re moving from outside the state or a first-time buyer, you should know that Massachusetts is a “lawyer” state. This means that a lawyer is necessary or recommended at many stages o the purchasing process. We don’t have escrow companies; recent legal action has reaffirmed that so-called “closing companies” cannot close sales in Massachusetts. A lawyer representing the lender must also be present. Most buyers engage attorneys to best represent their interests. For more information click here.
"Roz found me the perfect place to live in Cambridge following more than ten years living in Southern California. Roz and I talked carefully about my requirements beforehand, and incredibly we spent just one day looking at real estate. Within three days I made an offer, and within a month was living in a perfect place. Roz was there for me from start to finish! She's the best!"
