Kitchens

The kitchen has become increasingly important over the last few decades. Although it is one of the most expensive home improvement projects a family can undertake, it can produce an impressive return on investment.

In the kitchens displayed you will find--

  • modest renovations using stock cabinetry and inexpensive, but functional fixtures
  • mid-range kitchens where homeowners selected some more expensive options combined with beautiful, but sensibly-priced finish materials
  • high-end kitchens with custom cabinetry and finishes

RG-Designs will work with you to make intelligent choices that fit your needs, your style, your budget.

  • Originally, the plan was to simply re-face the existing formica cabinets.
It turned out as expensive to re-face as to do all new cabinetry. The
owners chose new cabinets, lighting, appliances, countertops. And a very
old and dysfunctional kitchen was transformed.

  • The owners had returned from India with a stunning piece of marble, inlaid
with semi-precious stones. Although larger than initially
planned, we used the piece on the center island. Forest Green
Caesarstone, an engineered material, was used for the counters at the
periphery See the construction process in Frame to Finish.

  • The wall between the kitchen and dining room was opened to take
advantage of the view of a thicket of trees outside. Custom-painted, custom
cabinetry was installed and appliances scaled for this relatively
    small galley kitchen were used.

  • A very awkward original design characterized this kitchen. The hall to the
children's bedrooms opened directly onto the counter where the
cooktop was located. Without adding square footage, we re-configured the
kitchen so that it made functional as well as aesthetic sense.
Custom-made red birch cabinetry and stunning Fucco granite was used.

  • A modest budget did not prevent us from creating a pretty, well-designed
kitchen with granite counters and a backsplash of subway tile.
