Example Items to Consider When Home Staging

  • Removing House Clutter. Removing the clutter goes a long way to improving the way your home shows. Pack items to store in attics or basements. Or hire a storage unit to hold your belongings until you're ready to move. Organize your closets and cabinets. We can recommend skilled closet organizers to help you with this task.  By decluttering this kitchen, a prospective buyer can see the functional features of this kitchen, not random kitchen items.

  • Fresh Coat of Paint. A fresh coat of paint will pay dividends. Our in-house design and color expertise can be utilized to transform your home and optimize it before the first Buyer shows up.(Click here for in-house design information)

  • Window Washing. If you do nothing else, a thorough window washing will increase the natural light, an important element on most Buyers' "must have" lists. And while you're at it, make sure to repair broken windows and cords. If seals between insulated windows have deteriorated, replace those windows. Roz had a recent sale where the price of the property was reduced to provide for the installation of new insulated windows. It doesn't make sense to put a home on the market when neglected elements lead prospective Buyers to worry about whether maintenance in general was deficient. Here, a small kitchen benefits from removing the clutter and letting buyers see how this kitchen really works--nice counter space, an overall good working plan.

  • Curb Appeal. Then there's the much used and abused term, "curb appeal." We know that small alterations can enhance the exterior of your property.  If you live in a multi-unit building, it's important to see that common areas are clean, de-cluttered and inviting.

TESTIMONIALS

Roz has represented me in three real estate purchases. Each time the search was a success with my finding exactly what I wanted in very little time. Her virtue is that she really does her homework and shows you exactly the kind of property you're looking for. The first time I used her services was when I first came to Boston. I had limited time and spoke to her on the phone before I came to town. I went out to look one afternoon and had a purchase and sale a day later. I was confident that she understood the available choices and in fact have not regretted the purchase ever.
